Only the blood of Jesus Christ could satisfy the cost for sin. Not the blood of bulls. Not the blood of goats. Not the blood of rams. Not the repeated stream of sacrifice under the Levitical order. Those sacrifices had purpose, weight, and divine appointment, but they were never the final answer. They were holy shadows, not the finished substance. They were prophetic witnesses, not ultimate payment. They pointed forward, but they could not complete what they proclaimed.

God still hears a sinner’s prayer because salvation begins with God’s mercy meeting human repentance. If God refused to hear sinners at all, then no one could ever be saved, because every person who comes to Him comes as a sinner in need of grace. The whole glory of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance (Luke 5:31–32). God still hears a sinner’s prayer is not because sin is small, but because grace is great.
