🕊️🕊️🕊️The Keeper of Words: Life or Death in the Power of the Tongue”
Scripture: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” — Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)
Reflection: There is a holy weight to the words we speak. From the beginning, creation itself was spoken into being — “And God said…” — and that same creative authority still echoes through every child of God today. Yet somewhere along the way, many have forgotten that our words are not empty breath; they are spiritual seeds that take root in the world around us. Heaven listens when you speak. So does hell. The realm of light and the realm of darkness both move according to the sound of your confession. Words can build up a weary soul, or they can break a heart beyond repair. They can declare peace or provoke war. They can heal wounds or reopen them. That’s why the Lord is calling His people back to the altar of accountability, to remember that our tongues were never meant to curse what God has blessed. But take heart — if you’ve spoken words in haste, regret, or pain, the same power that can destroy can also restore. Through repentance and surrender, God can cleanse your lips like He did for Isaiah, touching them with holy fire (Isaiah 6:6–7). From that moment on, your mouth becomes a vessel of power and purpose — a living instrument that speaks truth, hope, and revival into a broken world. You are not called to echo the noise of the culture — you are called to carry the voice of Heaven. Be the keeper of words. Choose them prayerfully. Speak them boldly. Release them with grace. For the world may use words as weapons, but those who walk with God use them as tools of healing, life, and divine restoration.
